Turning Homes into Coworking Spaces with Christelle Rohaut of Codi

My background is in environmental engineering, City planning & Circular economy. I'm passionate about revitalizing neighbourhoods, by unlocking access to under-utilized assets (including homes during the day!).

We create productive work hubs in beautiful homes, and we create an additional source of income for local residents. We're working to improve people's work lives by allowing anybody to walk to work and access a professional community wherever they live.

We've raised $7 million in venture funding so far.

As of now, we've taken the route of reaching out and developing partnerships directly with companies to provide their remote employees with safe and flexible workspaces.

We've had some success with digital marketing, direct sales, and boots on the ground! It's really been a mix so far.

Keeping the marketplace balanced between supply and demand has, as expected, been a preoccupation since the beginning.

As a society, we're not used to being able to access other peoples' homes in our neighborhoods.

Homes can be beautiful and welcoming places that are completely underutilized during the day. Technology has allowed us to make a dream come true, it's quite a magical experience to suddenly be able to open theses closed doors, meet your neighbors, and get your work done in a new inspiring and cozy environment - with zero commute.
